Training Opportunities for Professionals
Professionals may take coursework in Behavior Analysis online or at local universities to meet requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Parents of children with autism also have taken the courses and found them to be helpful in understanding the underlying principles of effective teaching methods. FEAT-Houston offers some coursework Scholarships for those seeking to become board certified.

The University of Houston – Clear Lake (UHCL) &
The University of Houston – Down Town (UHD)
UHCL and UHD offer a sequence of courses in ABA at the undergraduate level to prepare individuals to become Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts. The first course, Learning, is offered at both campuses in the fall and can be taken simultaneously with the second course, ABA I. The second and third courses (ABA I and ABA II) also are offered as online courses. Graduate Program in Applied Behavior Analysis at UHCL
UHCL offers graduate work (Masters’ Degree) in applied behavior analysis. Graduates are prepared to pursue doctoral degrees in psychology or behavior analysis. University of North Texas
Department of Behavior Analysis
The Department of Behavior Analysis offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs on the UNT campus in Denton, as well as a graduate certificate program online for distant professionals interested in continuing their behavior analysis education. Students may take one or more of the internet sequence classes (see http://courses.unt.edu/behv/) and may enroll in the UNT Graduate School to obtain an academic certificate in ABA.
